Careful for what you wish for
I have a tragic story of huge proportions
Whilst lecturing English at Chinas National University
of Defence Technology.
(Teaching all the future leaders of China) My Students
were all above the rank on Cornel with multiple post graduate
degrees)
I was manipulated in to marrying a woman who I had only known
for a few weeks. She had been sent by her employer to recruit
a foreigner for his business. She decided that she had another
plan .She feigned pregnancy. Because I am a decent bloke
I thought I would do the right thing.
Because I was a foreigner and teaching at China`s most prestigious
university I was always asked to appear on Television.
I proposed marriage to her twice on national television
to an audience of over 600 million.Most Hollwood actors
don`t get this audence on their debut.
It turns out that a couple of week`s before the marriage
that she did indeed fall pregnant. After marrying Then
I got a serious spinal injury and had to be medicaly evacuated
to Hong Kong.
I had to almost start an international incident because
the authorities wanted her to abort .I had foreign teachers
chancellors of universities friends of the Chinese Military
authorities, women groups and religious organizations
all telephoning and emailing the Authorities.
Needless to say they backed down. My Australian friends
all packed her up. The Australian embassy held an after
hours interview allowing her to go to Australia with me
as I was in Hong Kong being medically evacuated due to an
spinal injury. She was detained twice trying to leave China
.Because of the stress she miscarried our twins.
When we finally got to Australia she was in total culture
shock. She kept going back to China with made up stories
of her family dyeing of different diseases (not true and
all in good health)
Since that time I have been back to China and taught in various
specialty schools. I have lost three jobs because of her
behavior.
Twice she attacked me once with a meat cleaver. Each time
the Chinese Police have been involved and both times I was
blamed because she lied to police
When we came back to Australia I got a full time job teaching
in Walgett
My wife during this time would manipulate me taking control
of every aspect of my life.
The whole community witnessed me being patient and supportive
of my wife .I paid to get her son over here and we completely
bonded.
As time wore on her behavior got worse and worse
We never had any money (despite me having a well paid job)
I now suspect that she was sending my money back to China.
All this time we were trying to have Children (I thought)
I latter discovered that she was secretly on the pill. She
planned to leave me for about one year.
During the Last School holidays she went missing with my
holiday pay ...only to return when the money ran out.
I decided that it was time to take some of the power back and
told her that I was going to control the money from now on.
She did not like this at all.
The next morning we had a big argument and I told her she had
to leave. She packed her bags . I took all the keys to the house
and left for the day.
When I returned the Police arrested me for Rape
I latter find out that she told a few people that she was planning
to do this.
But due to the special nature of sexual assault cases this
information is inadmissible in court...just as much of
her writings and emails stating her plans.
She also made statements that certain things only happened
at certain times. I have photographic evidence that proves
differently but I also cannot use this in court.
Every one who knows me knows that I have been the one who has
been domestically abused. That I have been an absolute
saint in regards to her behavior.
She has been to the Police twice to drop the charges but the
police talk her out of it by saying that she will be deported
if she drops the charges.
The police have refused to investigate mine and others
allegations that she has been hitting my step son in the
face and head .He is the real victim in all of this. The Department
of Community Services have said I cannot report to them
because I will breach my AVO conditions.
In China the natural father has custody because of a Chinese
family court determination that she is an unfit mother.
The father allowed his son to come to Australia for one year
to live. She has intentions of not returning to China to
give him back.
She has refused to integrate anything from Australian
Culture. Quoting that Chinese Culture is far superior
than any western culture.
The Department of Immigration want all the details of the
case so they can make a determination, However my legal
team have advised that I wait until the criminal matter
is resolved .My family has to pay the government back all
the money she gets from the government to support her while
waiting for the trial.
It does seem to me that the State has come down on me like a
ton of steel.
I am completely deliberated by this betrayal,
it seems there is no where to go for help.
I know that resolution of this is not a matter of hope but
a matter of time. But for the moment my whole life is destroyed.
I have been suspended from teaching until the matter has
been resolved.It has done irreparable damage to my career
and reputation.
At the moment she is profiting from the proceeds of a crime.
All the details I have provided here are but a very short
account of events.
I have written 45, 000 words about meeting her and the events
leading up to my arrest. My lawyer says this is a credit to
me as I had not seen any of the Department of Public Prosecutions
brief.
I am currently at my parents house in another city. Because
the nature of the AVO ( restraing order ) is that I cannot
go within 500 meters of her which in effect means I cannot
go anywhere in the small town.
I go to court on the the 9th of August 2004
I hope the jury saw the movie "Birthday Girl"
staring Nichole Kiddman
This would have to be the worst way to break up
