Dating my First EX
I was married in 1978 and divorced 3 years later. We have
a child together that he gave up for adoption to my second
husband. Our son is 22 years old. I have not seen my ex since
1981. When we were married he left me and my son behind without
saying good-bye. I have never loved any man as much as I loved
him. I could never figure out why he left. Recently I found
his telephone number on line and called. He was surprised
to hear from me and we have been communicating by email and
telephone. He lives in Florida and has a girlfriend he has
been living with for 12 years and they have a child together
who is 10. He tells me he never remarried and he is sorry for
how he treated me. He mentioned that we should meet sometime
and have dinner. My question is should I meet with him. Should
I travel to Florida? Should I wait for him to make a move.
I have so many unanswered questions about the past. I still
love him. I don't even know what he looks like after all these
years, but I feel like I will never love like that again.
Believe me I have tried and I can never give 100% of myself
again to any relationship. I believe the key is understanding
the past relationship with my first husband. I was only
18 when we married. Can anyone give me some advise?
