Men cheat because we can't help it? Are you kidding?
First off, when it comes to cheating, gender is not dividing
line. I actually know more women in 'on the side'
relationships than men.
People get involved in relationships outside of their
significant other for many reasons. Most seem to deal with
their primary relationship not completely fulfilling
their needs. There are some that want out of their primary
relationship and want to find something better. There
are some that want a poly lifestyle, but the SO isn't
into it. I know people that have done it for revenge. There
are hundreds of reasons.
I'm sorry, but anytime someone points at a group I belong
to and says 'we can't help it', I feel like
I have been slapped in the face. We *can* help anything that
deals with our behavior and how we deal with others. We *chose*
the behaviors and we need to take *full* responsibility
for those choices and the consequences. Many times the
choices suck, but that's life.
