I resign as an adult..
I am hereby tendering my resignation as an adult.
I want to accept the responsibilities of a 6 year old
I want to go to Macdonalds and think its a 5 star restaurant
I want to think M & Ms are better than money because
you can eat them.
I want to lie under a big oak tree and play doctors and nurses
with my friends on a hot summers day.
I want to return to a time when life was simple.
When all I knew were colours , multiplication tables , that
my birthday meant pressies and that Santa Claus brought
a stocking of goodies at Christmas.
I want to think the world is fair , that bad people get punished
and that anything is possible..
I want to be oblivious to the complexities of modern day
living and be overly excited by the little things again.
I dont want to my day to consist of computer crashes, rotten
bank statements, mountains of paperwork, unblocking
the sink and where to find the cheapest petrol.
I want to believe in the power of dreams, of kissing to make
the hurt better, smiles , hugs , truth, justice , imagination
and making angels in the snow.
So..heres my cheque book, my credit card bills , my mobile
phone and car keys.
I am officially resigning from adulthood and if you need
to discuss this .youll have to catch me first. Tag ! Youre
it.
